Dr. Krista Rannells, LISW-S, MSW

Thank you for visiting my page. I have over 20 years of experience helping diverse individuals recover from trauma, depression, anxiety, and overall life stressors. I have studied trauma for years and genuinely believe in the strength of survivors despite the difficult struggles. I specialize in women's and men's issues, having worked in women shelters and for the Department of Veterans Affairs. I have tremendous admiration for individuals who choose to seek counseling due to experiencing abuse, trauma, or any major stressor. I specialize in helping adolescents through seniors. The therapy is for you and about you.

My therapeutic model emphasizes trust and transparency. Beginning counseling is a vulnerable time, and the patient's ability to feel comfortable is the first step. My strength-based therapy revolves around the patient's emotional needs, which includes cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and survivor-centered approaches.

My style involves creating a safe space for any type of emotion or problem. My therapy is not rushed and takes the time to see the situation from the patient's point of view, while empowering confidence to engage more in life.
